Diwali Drawing Dilemma
Mira: "Ayyo, Rohan, stop! Your pencil keeps poking my arm."
Rohan: "I'm not poking! I'm drawing laddus with sprinkles."
Mira: "But your hand keeps brushing me. It tickles and I can't write."
Rohan: "Tickles? Like when Paati’s sari end brushes your neck?"
Mira: "Yes. It’s not hurting, but it’s making me wriggle."
Rohan: "I have to finish this Diwali poster. Fireworks, diyas, sweets… everything!"
Mira: "And I have to finish my spelling. My ‘m’ is going all zigzag from the tickles."
Amma: "Why are you two squirming like worms on this bench?"
Rohan: "Amma, my drawing hand tickles Mira’s arm. I’m not doing it on purpose."
Mira: "I know he’s not. It just makes my letters dance all over."
Amma: "Okay, small move only. Rohan, slide your notebook this side. Mira, tuck your elbow in a bit."
Rohan: "Like this? Now my pencil only tickles the paper."
Mira: "Much better. My arm is quiet and my ‘m’ is sitting properly."
Rohan: "Look, I drew one extra laddu for you."
Mira: "Thanks. When I eat it, my tongue will tickle from all the sugar."
