Diwali Preparations
Meera: "Arjun, stop! You’ll drop the rangoli colors!"
Arjun: "I’m not a baby, Meera. I can carry the bowl."
Meera: "But the floor is wet from Amma’s mopping. You’ll slip."
Arjun: "I’ll walk slowly. See? One tiny step… then another."
Amma: "Careful, both of you. I just cleaned the floor for Diwali."
Meera: "Amma, can you make him give me the bowl?"
Amma: "Watch how he holds it with two hands and looks where he’s going."
Arjun: "I’m keeping my elbows in, like Appa when he carries hot chai."
Meera: "Hey, you’re not wobbling at all. The colors aren’t even shaking."
Arjun: "Told you! I’m carrying it skillfully."
Amma: "Now can you place it down just as skillfully, right next to the lamp?"
Arjun: "There! Not a single pinch spilled."
Meera: "Okay, that was skillfully done. Now can you pour the purple for my flower?"
