Rangoli Adventures
Ananya: "Ravi, why are you standing so far from the rangoli? Come closer and help!"
Ravi: "Because I’ll mess it up! Ma’s rangolis are perfect. Mine will look like a potato fell on the floor."
Ananya: "It’s just colored powder, not a maths test. Take a little pinch and try."
Ravi: "You’re brave. I’m scared the whole peacock will sneeze and disappear."
Paati: "Ayyo, you two! The kolam won’t run away. What’s happening here?"
Ananya: "Paati, Ravi won’t help. He thinks only experts can touch the rangoli."
Ravi: "Everyone will laugh if I make a crooked feather."
Paati: "Who do you think I was when I made my first kolam? We all start as novices, kanna."
Ravi: "Novices? Is that like… baby artists?"
Paati: "Something like that. Just people who are new to doing something."
Ananya: "Then we’re rangoli novices together, Ravi. Look, my circle is already an oval."
Ravi: "Your oval is kind of cute. Okay, I’ll be a novice too… but I’m starting with the peacock’s tiny toe."
Paati: "Good! Novices with courage make the best stories for Paati to tell later."
Ananya: "Hey, this feather I did is not bad at all!"
Ravi: "And my tiny toe didn’t explode. Maybe being novices is actually fun."
