Lunchbox Adventures
Ananya: "Rohan, Amma packed lemon rice and pickle for my lunch. What did you get?"
Rohan: "Ooo, I got curd rice with pomegranate on top. And… uh oh."
Ananya: "What happened? Why are you making that face?"
Rohan: "I forgot my spoon. Amma will feel bad if I don’t eat."
Ananya: "We can share mine. I’ll take one bite, then you take one bite."
Rohan: "But your lemon rice will get curd on it. You don’t like that."
Ananya: "Yeah, it will become all squishy. I want it to stay lemony."
Rohan: "It’s okay. I’ll just eat the pomegranate with my fingers."
Ananya: "That’s hardly any lunch. You’ll be hungry during games period."
Teacher: "Everything okay here, you two?"
Rohan: "Miss, I forgot my spoon. I’ll just manage."
Teacher: "Hmm… Ananya, is there anything in your dabba we can use?"
Ananya: "There’s the steel lid and this tiny steel bowl for the pickle."
Teacher: "Perfect. Rohan can use the bowl like a spoon."
Rohan: "Like a tiny spaceship scooping rice! I can do that."
Ananya: "And I’ll use the lid like a plate, so my rice stays separate."
Teacher: "See? You found a smart way together."
Rohan: "Hurray, I can eat all my curd rice now!"
Ananya: "Hurray for the magic pickle bowl-spoon!"
Teacher: "And hurray for lunchtime inventors with full tummies."
