Sharing Lunch
Anu: "Mmm, your lunch smells so good, Zoya. What did your mum pack today?"
Zoya: "Lemon rice and potato fry. What did Paati pack for you?"
Anu: "Curd rice with mango pickle. But I kind of wish I had your lunch instead."
Zoya: "We can share if you want… but I really love my lemon rice."
Anu: "I know, that’s why I feel bad asking. It’s like asking for your favourite toy."
Zoya:festival in our tiffin boxes." "Maybe we can swap just one spoon each. Like a tiny
Anu: "Okay, one spoon. I’ll give you my best corner of curd rice with extra pickle."
Zoya: "Deal. Here, I’m giving you the yellow part with all the crunchy peanuts."
Anu: "Wow, it’s warm and smells like the temple prasad. I’m eating this very slowly."
Zoya: "I’m mixing your curd rice… it feels cold and soft on my fingers."
Anu: "Hey, don’t take too much pickle! I’ll have nothing spicy left."
Zoya: "But the pickle is the fun part! It makes my tongue dance."
Anu: "Then my tongue will just sleep. That’s not fair."
Teacher Meera: "What’s going on here, picnic queens?"
Zoya: "We’re sharing, Miss, but Anu thinks I’m stealing all her fun."
Anu: "She took a mountain of pickle and left me a tiny hill."
Teacher Meera: "Hmm. Can you two look at your boxes and fix it so both of you feel okay?"
Zoya: "Okay… I’ll put some pickle back in Anu’s box."
Anu: "And I’ll give you one more spoon of curd rice, so your tongue can dance more."
Zoya: "Now my box looks like a smile. I’m keeping it like this."
Anu: "Mine too. I’m going to finish every bite happily."
Teacher Meera: "That’s how sharing should look — and taste."
Zoya: "Next time, I’ll happily share my lemon rice without making your tongue sad."
