Making Laddoos for Ganesh Chaturthi
Ananya: "Ma, can I make laddoos all by myself for Ganesh Chaturthi?"
Ma: "All by yourself? Hmm."
Ravi: "I want to help! I can roll the laddoos!"
Ananya: "You always make them into weird shapes, Ravi."
Ravi: "They’re still tasty! Round-ish is fine."
Ma: "We need them ready before the aarti. No time for a big mess."
Ananya: "I’m not a baby, Ma. I watched you last year. I remember."
Ravi: "She even remembers how much ghee you put. She told Dadi."
Ma: "I’m doubtful you two can do it neatly. The kitchen turns into a war zone when you ‘help’."
Ananya: "Just let us try one plate. If it’s messy, you can take over."
Ravi: "Yeah, like a test! Laddoo exam!"
Ma: "Hmm. I’m still doubtful, but okay. One plate. I’ll stand right here and watch."
Ananya: "Pass me the besan, Ravi. Slowly. Don’t spill."
Ravi: "See, Ma? No besan on the floor. Only in the bowl."
Ma: "The ghee goes in now. Careful, it’s hot."
Ananya: "It smells so good! Like last year’s festival morning."
Ravi: "I’m rolling this one for Ganesha. Look, almost round!"
Ma: "These laddoos… they look lovely."
Ananya: "So, are you still doubtful, Ma?"
Ma: "Not anymore. I was doubtful at first, but you proved me wrong."
Ravi: "Next year, no doubt. We’re the official laddoo team!"
