Sharing and Donations
Maya: "Arjun, why are you stuffing all your toys in that big bag?"
Arjun: "Amma said we’re taking them to school. There’s a box for giving things."
Maya: "But these are your BEST cars! The red one even has glitter."
Arjun: "I don’t play with them now. They just sleep under my bed."
Maya: "Still… giving them away feels like saying bye to friends."
Amma: "Sometimes friends move to a new house. These toys can move to new kids."
Maya: "Who will want our old things? The stickers are peeling."
Arjun: "Last year I saw a boy hugging my old teddy. He smiled like it was new."
Maya: "Really? He didn’t mind the wobbly eye?"
Arjun: "No. He just laughed and squeezed it."
Maya: "What if I miss my glitter car later?"
Amma: "Donations are things you’re ready to share, not things you’re forced to give."
Maya: "So this bag is full of donations… toys we’ve loved, but can let go?"
Arjun: "Yeah. My short jeans, your sunflower frock, my racing cars."
Maya: "Maybe another girl will spin in that frock and feel all twirly."
Amma: "That’s how donations work. Our things get new stories with new people."
Maya: "Okay. I’ll add my crayon box. It still smells like wax and mango pickle."
Arjun: "Whoa, that’s a big one."
Maya: "I want my donation to make someone draw big, bright mangoes."
Amma: "Then let’s zip this bag. It’s full of happy donations now."
Arjun: "And somewhere, other kids will open it and start playing right away."
