Ants on the Balcony
Anya: "Why are all the ants walking in a line to our balcony?"
Kabir: "Uh-oh, maybe they’re coming to steal our toys."
Anya: "Ants don’t play with toys, Kabir. Look, they’re going straight to that corner."
Kabir: "Oh no, that’s where I dropped some laddoo crumbs after breakfast."
Anya: "You didn’t clean up? Amma said not to eat there."
Kabir: "I forgot… but why are they coming only to the laddoo spot?"
Anya: "Because the sweet smell is pulling them, like Appa to hot pakoras."
Kabir: "So the laddoo crumbs are attracting the ants, like a magnet?"
Anya: "Yes, exactly! Sweet things are attracting them from everywhere."
Kabir: "Yuck, now they’re climbing the wall. I don’t want my room full of ants."
Amma: "Children, what’s happening here?"
Anya: "Kabir’s laddoo crumbs are attracting a whole ant parade, Amma."
Kabir: "I didn’t know it would attract so many. I thought just one or two."
Amma: "Ants tell their friends when they find food. That’s why cleaning matters."
Kabir: "Okay, I’ll wipe the floor and not eat laddoo here again."
Anya: "And I’ll sprinkle some water to send the ants back home."
Kabir: "Next time, let’s keep the laddoo in the kitchen, attracting only us."
