Preparing for Diwali
Anya: "Rohan, Amma said we have to clean the balcony before Diwali lights go up."
Rohan: "Ugh, that’s so much dust. I just want to eat the murukku."
Anya: "If we finish fast, we can eat and watch the diyas together."
Rohan: "You’re the big sister. You do the cleaning. I’ll do the… cheering."
Anya: "Cheering is not helping. I need actual hands, not just your mouth."
Rohan: "But the broom is taller than me! It’s scary."
Amma: "Hmm, sounds like the broom needs some brave assistants."
Rohan: "Assistants? Like superheroes?"
Amma: "Like small helpers who make big jobs easier."
Anya: "I’ll be the sweeping assistant. You be the watering-can assistant for the plants."
Rohan: "So I get to give the plants a bath? That sounds fun."
Anya: "Yes, and don’t splash my feet this time."
Rohan: "No promises… I mean, okay, fine, I’ll try."
Amma: "Look at my little assistants, the balcony already smells fresher."
Rohan: "Hey, it does! And the rangoli chalk won’t get dirty now."
Anya: "See? When we’re Amma’s assistants, we finish fast and the murukku tastes better."
Rohan: "Then I’ll always be the snack-time assistant too. I’m very good at that job."
